The Nest Chart

Work together, earn feathers, celebrate. Every class is on one shared journey up the nests — here's exactly how it works.

The Nest Chart: classes earn 50 feathers to move up each nest, with a class reward at Nest 5 and PBL Rewards Day at Nest 10.
Your class climbs from START → Nest 10 (and beyond) — 50 feathers at a time.

One team, one nest

This is a whole-class effort built on teamwork. Students earn individual feathers for positive behaviour and following school expectations — but instead of keeping them, they drop them into a shared class container. The whole class works together to climb the chart and reach common goals.

Every class has the same two milestones in their sights from week one.

250 feathersNest 5

Class reward

At the start of term the class votes on a reward they'd love to earn. Reaching Nest 5 unlocks that chosen celebration — just for them.

500 feathersNest 10

Whole-school reward

The PBL team announces one big whole-school reward at the start of term, celebrated at the end of Term 3 when classes reach Nest 10.

Every Monday, after assembly

Enter the F.B.I.

The Feather Board Inspectors keep the whole system moving. Each Monday morning, straight after the PBL assembly, they make their rounds.

Rollover maths. More than 50 in a week? The extra carries over. A jar of 67 moves the class up one nest, and the spare 17 stay in the container as a head start for next week.

Milestones at a glance

The 50 feathers the F.B.I. collect each week also fill a giant whole-school display box — so everyone watches the school's hard work add up all term.

    Building momentum

    From START, the class collects 50 feathers at a time to move from nest to nest.

  2. 5

    Class reward unlocked! 250 feathers

    Time to celebrate with the reward the class voted on at the start of term.

  3. 6–9

    Keep pushing

    The class keeps gathering feathers, building towards the ultimate goal.

  4. 10

    PBL Rewards Day! 500 feathers

    The class hits 500 and joins the massive end-of-term, whole-school celebration.
